Individual Therapy

for adults

What if it's grief?

Life is a journey of holding on and learning to let go. Seldom do we allow ourselves the time or self-compassion to fully experience and move through the emotions inherent in all that life brings. Seldom do we allow ourselves to feel the grief of letting go of our ideas of how things are supposed to be.

Maybe your relationships are struggling, and you want desperately to build intimacy and connection. Maybe you are considering a new profession or feeling crushed under the weight of a career in tech or other high pressure/high performance fields. Perhaps you are an empty nester, newly single, or just coming out of the closet. Maybe you are embracing your creativity or are considering going back to school. Maybe you want to revitalize your addiction recovery or spiritual life.

Perhaps you are keenly aware that now is the time to heal your relationships, live fully, and show up as yourself in the world. I would be honored to walk that journey with you. The poet Mary Oliver asks "Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" Let's find your answer.

I specialize in helping people navigate life’s ups and downs and build a beautiful life of meaning and joy. It's time to fully heal from traumas, let go of old ways of coping that don't serve you anymore, quiet the voice in your head that says you can't do it. You can build the life you want. Therapy can help!

I have extensive experience in life transitions, trauma, addiction and recovery, work stress, and building a life of meaning and joy. I take particular joy in working with LGBTQ+ folks and people in the young adult to mid-life range (roughly age 20 to 60).  I conceptualize struggles from an existential perspective, drawing on a variety of modalities including Internal Family Systems, person-centered therapy, family systems, DBT, CBT, psychoeducation, feminist, social justice focused, trauma-focused, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness to provide a truly individualized approach to personal growth and healing.
