Supervision

& Consultation

Clinical supervision

I am an approved supervisor in Washington State.  As an LMHC, I am able to provide supervision for mental health counselor, social work, and MFT associates. Please refer to DOH guidelines about your specific requirements for supervision: https://doh.wa.gov/licenses-permits-and-certificates/professions-new-renew-or-update

Is it a fit? Please explore my web site to determine if I might be a fit for you. I serve adults and couples currently in my practice. I also have extensive history in the non-profit and public service sectors serving parents and children, people impacted by addiction, people involved with the child welfare system, people with disabilities, and vocational rehabilitation. I'm trained in DBT, Gottman, EFT, trauma-focused CBT, and motivational interviewing. I have extensive college teaching experience, and am versed in working with young adults. I have specialized expertise in working with couples, people in addiction recovery, and LGBTQ+ people.

My style: Supervision will be tailored to your needs, though my primary approach is the dual focus on case consultation and therapist identity development. My goal is to support you in achieving your goals and growing into the therapist you want to be. Sometimes I serve in the role of a secondary supervisor for those who are looking for additional support or to move more quickly toward supervised hours acquisition.

What I don't do: I don't bill insurance for supervisees. I don't provide guidance on legal or business matters related to setting up and running a practice.  We will talk about ethics and mandated reporting, as needed. However, if you are looking for someone to assist on the technical side of things, I'm not your person. I situate my work with supervisees squarely clinically.

I provide supervision to associate level providers in Washington State. I don't take on certified, registered, agency-affiliated, intern, or peer counselors. You must have an associate level license in mental health counseling, MFT, or social work in order for us to have a supervisor/supervisee relationship.

Fee: $100 per 55 minute hour of individual clinical supervision. I am open to serving groups or pairs, at a rate of $75 per person per 55 minute hour, but it is up to you to form groups and approach me about this possibility. I provide services via telehealth.
